A Brown-crested Flycatcher was seen and heard at the North Key Largo State Preserve on 1/17/11 at about 9:00 am before the rain set in. It was on the south side of the trail about half way to the bathrooms. Nothing else special to not except Great Blue Heron (white morph) on the beach at John Pennekamp and several at the Florida Keys Wild Bird Care Center. This trip was part of the Everglades Birding Festival and participants came as far away as Denmark, Calgary, Alberta Canada, Toronto, Ca, 10 states and throughout Florida.
