The best time to see flamingos is from about September to about November. The best way is to paddle a canoe or kayak out to see them, these can be rented in Flamingo. Also a shallow draft boat may be able to get to them on a high tide. You have to plan a trip on an incoming tide and leave before the tide goes out. You don't want to get stuck on the mud flat. Ask David LaPuma about that one!

The birds used to stay through the winter but since the hurricanes they have not. If they are there, it is not in Snake Bight.
