It is a wonder how the White-eyed Parakeet is neither mentioned in Sibley's or National Geographic. The bird seems to be becoming established in south Florida. I have noticed large flocks in Biscayne Park, North Miami, Miami Springs, and I am hearing of them in areas of Broward. Has anyone else noticed this sudden aratinga take-over of the White-eyed Parakeets? They are dominating the Red-masked, Mitred, and Blue-crowned populations in my area.
