This morning I saw a burrowing owl outside the fitness center on the Homestead Air Reserve base. This is the second time I have seen it there, near the parking lot.
There are several open fields nearby, including a baseball field, where it may be residing.
Unfortunately the base is NOT open to the public and only military personnel are allowed inside, however I wanted to post this in case anyone is keeping statistics, or for any birders in the military that may be interested.
