I took a morning break from work to look for the La Sagra's. At ~9:30 I heard a "whit" call coming from the west side of the nature trail about 150 yards south of the intersection with the bathroom trail. At 9:40 exactly the La Sagra's started calling extensively, but this time from a snaggly, dead tree about 50 feet east of the nature trail, just south of the tall buttonwood stand and next to an open area with short brush intersperesed wit palmetto. I managed to approach the snag with the La Sagra's still calling, and as I waited for it to come into the open for a photo, I again heard a distant "whit" call from west of the nature trail. I did see two pale Great Cresteds, so it's possible that one is actually a Brown-crested and that's what made the call, or there may be two La Sagra's. The call was a bit distant and with all the wind I can't say for sure it it was one or the either. The definitive La Sagra's was close enough to get excellent looks and really get a feel for its call, but again, with all the snags it never came into the open enough for a good photo.
