Green Cay Wetlands

This morning, I held a birding class at Green Cay Wetlands with 23 young birders from Miami Shores Elementary. We saw or heard the following birds:
Mottled Duck
Blue-winged Teal
Green-winged Teal
Pied-billed Grebe
Anhinga
Great Egret
Tricolored Heron
Little Blue Heron
Green Heron
White Ibis
Glossy Ibis
Black Vulture
Turkey Vulture
Osprey
Red-shouldered Hawk
Sora
Purple Gallinule
Common Moorhen
American Coot
Limpkin
Mourning Dove
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Blue-headed Vireo
Fish Crow
Northern Rough-winged Swallow
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Northern Parula
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Palm Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Northern Cardinal
Painted Bunting (male and female at the feeder near the entrance)
Red-winged Blackbird
Common Grackle
Boat-tailed Grackle

I was unable to relocate the Greater Scaup seen yesterday.
