Today after a quick lunch we headed out to watch the bay in search of a bird for our bird-a-day effort. While scanning the bay we spotted 2 Common Loon feeding along the beach across from us. We also had a Loon flyby at incredibly close range allowing for close study of this killer bird in flight. The fourth and final Loon for the afternoon flew past but a bit farther out.
Birds are on the move ahead of the front, keep your eyes and ears open!
