Yesterday afternoon went to Indian Hammocks for my first outing of the year. Some of the birds seen were:

Killdeer
White-crowned Pigeon
Ruby-throated Hummingbirds
E. Phoebe
Blue-headed Vireo
BG Gnatcatcher
N. Parula
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Palm Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Baltimore Oriole (female)

This morning birded Matheson Hammock for about a half an hour.
Highlights were:

White-crowned Pigeon
Yellow-chevroned Parakeets (many and noisy)
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
E. Phoebe
Blue-headed Vireo
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
BG Gnatcatcher
Gray Catbird
Hill Myna (up to 20 in a flock)
Orange-crowned Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Palm Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler (white-lored)
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart (female)
Summer Tanager (female)
Painted Bunting (male and female)

Plus all the usual resident birds.

Also had a Cooper's Hawk make a pass at some Collared Doves on Kendall Drive, but missing target.
