: Hello,

: Just a word to say that a House Finsh was singing at Fort Lauderdale Saturday (March 6th) morning. Pressed in time by leaving back to Quebec and not knowing that it could be a good shot, I did not do a big deal about it. (House Finch is abondant where I live and know well the song and the flight calls).

: However, according to the maps of Sibley's and NGS's guides it is not in its' range.

: Is it known that few birds can be found in the Fort Lauderdale area?

: Thank you to answer.

:There is a Pair that has recently (first heard and seen on 2/03/04) moved into North Cape Coral, with the Male Singing from trees in the Lowe's Home Center Parking lot on the corner of Pine Island Road and Del Prado Blvd. They may be just visiting or possibly are actually nesting.
