While birding today with a friend, we saw six Scissor-tailed Flycatcher east of s.w. 217 ave. on s.w. 312 st. Along with the Scissor-tailed Flycatchers was a Gray Kingbird which was a total shock to both of us! We first thought that the bird was an immature Eastern Kingbird until we came back later in the afternoon to get better scope views. I have never seen a Gray Kingbird in Florida at such a late date! That is what is so fun about birding, you just never know what you are going to find! Of course you have to get out there and look!
