Hi all,
We found a Long-tailed Duck near our home in Miami Lakes this morning. This may very well be the first county record of this bird in Miami-Dade.
We will post better directions later. Exit NW154 st. west Miami Lakes Dr on 826 make first left (77 CT) then follow road alongside the canal to 146 ST. make right and go to stop sign. Lake should be right in front of you at this point. Go to parking lot of the business park for a good vantage point. Bird has been feeding along the shore diving frequently so check good.
