Turnpike North to Lake Worth Blvd. Go east to Jog Road. Turn left go north to Forest Hill Blvd. Go west about 1.5 miles to golf course entrance and enter following signs to Okeeheelee Nature Center. Park, go around museum to back side and sit by the feeder between 7:30-11:30.
Okeeheelee Nature Center is in the middle of the WPB park and golf course. It sits between Jog and 441 on Forest Hill. There is NO Turnpike exit at Forest Hill. Work the route reverse if you are coming south.
It is 25 minutes from 10th St/Sawgrass entrance to Turnpike. A short drive for a sure thing, lots of pleasure and photo ops beyond your wildest expectations. We are not talking spotting scope here...these birds are abundant, active and five-eight feet from you. At one time you can have 7 painted buntings, 5 indigos,thrashers, cardinals and ovens birds all in your viewfinder at once.
