i've never seen a flock of militaries up this way, but i have seen them in pairs in two locations over the last 10 years. strangely enough, all my sightings have been of pairs crossing over the interstate. i've seen a pair numerous times heading west in the afternoon into the park behind the train station at hollywood blvd. and i-95. twice i've seen a pair flying east in the afternoon over the new river bridge in ft. lauderdale, at what seems like a strange altitude for macaws. we also have an enormous flock of amazons, red fronts and a few double yellow heads, that fly over the highway and the river heading north east to roost. that flock has been around since the 80's, 22 birds the first time i saw it, now 80 plus. merry christmas to all.
