This afternoon at 3:45 p.m., a pair of Swallow-tail Kites flew low over my house and headed toward the nesting area in the pines along SW 148 Ave at Marvin Lane in Davie. Marvin Lane is one block south of Sterling Road, between Griffin Road and Sherdian Street, just to the east of I-75.
They have been returning to the same area to nest for the past four years. As in past years, there should be more to follow.
