Today (12/16) in Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP, Edge Wade from MO observed a male Western Spindalis. She was at the "white gate intersection" and noted the spindalis fly in from the south. It perched near the power pole with red Virginia Creeper vine. This pole is the one closest to the intersection and is a favorite hang-out of the La Sagra's. The spindalis stayed 30 seconds, but offered very good views. It flew off to the NE. As of 10:30 AM, the La Sagra's remained a no-show.
