This is a La Nina year. South of Lake Okeechobee, in the interior (and closing on the SW Coast), the wetlands are drying up and large flocks of Wood Storks and other waders can be seen congregating at these shrinking pools. Soon, much of the water will be gone. It bodes for a particularly dry winter IMHO.
