There was a rose-breasted grosbeak in the yard today. More interesting was a hummingbird I saw. I have had 2 female ruby-throat 'type' hummingbirds that frequent the yard for a while. This morning one perched briefly nearby. Its back was really blue. I'm pretty sure it was the lighting, but it was very obvious. It had the white tail tips and seemed a little bigger than normal. Hope to get a good look again. Probably just a ruby throat, but I never noticed that shade of color on one before.
