Well the cold kept a lot of the birders at bay but the birds were unexpectedly plentiful this morning. The highlights were a flock each of Green-winged and Blue-winged Teals, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, White-eyed Vireo, and Blue-headed Vireo, FOS Black Vulture, Snail Kite, Northern Harrier, American Bittern, and a pair of Monk Parakeets. Thousands (literally) of Tree Swallows swarmed overhead.

Plus Larry the owl man heard Great Horned Owls off in the distance. Maybe they will nest closer in so we can get a glimpse of them.
