Had a Yellow-billed Cuckoo near the office last week. It must have flown into a window or something. As I was walking around the side of the office I noticed something move out of the corner of my eye. Looked down and at my feet was the bird. I was almost able to pick the bird up but it flew as I was inches away. Flew fine but it looked a bit dazed and confused.
Also had a first year female Magnolia Warbler in one our oak hammocks this morning. It was with a flock of yellow-rumps, palms, yellow-throated, and two redstarts.
The marshes are drying up quick here and the wading birds are congregating in large numbers. Had a group of 25+ Spoonbills in one of our marshes.
Good time to get out and bird Corbett!!
