This little fellow was resplendant in his bright yellow and brown coloration but regrettably went into the shade as the shutter clicked. It was seen across from the chickee in the low brush and weeds and was in the company of several Blue-gray Gnatcatchers.
Hopefully there is enough there to trigger a positive ident. Hope springs eternal that perhaps, just perhaps, its a Townsend Warbler.
