On an early morning trip to the park on Tuesday, 2-3-04
I found a blue-winged at the West Lake parking area at daybreak. It was in a mixed flock of 5 warbler species.
Also there at first light was a male painted bunting.

Next stop was the trail to Bear Lake ( the road along the Buttonwood Canal is open now if still a little muddy). Another Blue-winged, in the company of a Parula, was seen about half way to Bear Lake. Ten warbler species were seen along the trail, including Worm-eating and 3 N. Waterthrush.

Has anyone found a Yellow-throated vireo this winter?
