A big ficus (I think) tree next to a grassy vacant lot on the SE corner of Old Dixie Highway and NE 118th St. held many Yellow-Chevroned and White-winged Parakeets from at least 12-3 today.
It was strange standing by this tree and only seeing one or two birds, or none, when from the noise it was obvious that there was a good-sized flock. Eventually groups of 3-~25, totaling maybe 60-70 birds, flew off; but many remained.
Of those I saw fly, 8-10 were Yellow-Chevroned, the rest all White-Winged.
BTW this is not the best neighborhood.
