Just a heads up for all you birders, we had a small group of Black Scoter (9) flying south over north Biscayne Bay. The birds were seen from FIU BBC Campus, we have a vantage point that is great for sea watching.
Now about two hours since we saw Scoters Toe called to report a Horned Grebe(retaining some breeding plumage) and flyby White-winged Scoter at the canoe launch area near Sadowski.
Winter flocks are on the move, blink and you will miss them! Get out there and get salt sprayed y'all.
