How do I post photos on the Bird Board?
To post a photo, you must first place the photo on a web page. You can use a service such as photobucket or flickr, or your internet account may already include a web page.
You can only post images in jpg, gif, or png format (no tiffs, no raw files, etc). Once you have uploaded your photo to a web page, you can use the "Optional Image URL" to add it (one only) to your posting. Simply type in the complete internet address (URL) of your photo. E.g., http://jboyd.net/Birds/IMG_5007.jpg. When you submit your post, the photo should appear. Note that the image URL must be an image file, not a directory or html file.
Sites like flickr which normally show a web page containing the photo rather than the bare photo are best posted as a link, not a photo. Indeed, flickr will not permit you to include your photo in your post.
