Hey birders! Today I went to my moms friend's house and saw 5 Purple Martins as well as 3 Northern Harriers.
But what got me the attention is a call similar to the Common Nighthwak at night. I heard the call like around 7:45 in my friends big grassy field. There are many agriculatural fields around. The bird was constantly moving around doing that call.
The place is private property. The location is the intersection of Krome Avenue and 160ST. Keep going on 160st till you get to 166ave and then turn right. The place is in a house with a grassy field. There were many killdeers around the area. I hope this helps guys. Alex helped me out on id'ing the bird. Good luck!
