Brennan Mulrooney took these photos today of the Western Spindalis.
Directions:
Windley Key is located in the Florida Keys just below Key Largo and before
Lower Matecumbe Key. Page 123 about C2 in the DeLorme.
These directions were sent to Robin Diaz from Stefan Schlick about the
location of the bird within the park:
Some location details: It was seen at the main quarry, near Marker 83. Look
north (above the wall) between 2 distinct clusters of trees and shrubs. The
bird was seen ~18 inches off the ground in Lantana.
An added note from me: Lantana as dark fruit that the bird may be eating.
