It's a Black Racer (Coluber constrictor), but it looks a little dark for the Everglades Racer color form. Most adult Black Racers in Miami and the Everglades are more charcoal. North of Ft. Lauderdale, they tend to be darker. The ones I see in Jensen Beach, St. Lucie County, are almost true black. All of them have the white chin that is somewhat evident in this photo. Where was this picture taken?
