Birded the park for about 2 hours this morning, mostly the western end and the adjacent cemetery. Witnessed a Cooper's Hawk ambush a large group of 8 White-crowned Pigeons. The chase was on but the target pigeon was quite agile and adept at dodging the hawk which eventually gave up. Was also able to compare Yellow-throated Vireo and male Pine Warbler together in the same tree, incredible how exact the coloring is between both birds. Some of the birds seen:
