This morning I had to be back by 9:00, so I only went to Cutler Wetlands and then Castellow. Cutler Wetlanda had 7 duck species (Gadwall, Lesser Scaup, Ring-necked, Shoveler, Blue-winged and Green-winged Teal, and Mottled). No sign of the Wigeon or Pintail from last week, but I didn't search hard. There were also a few Dowitchers and Yellowlegs, and a Black-necked Stilt.

At Castellow, the first bird I saw was one of the Rufous Hummingbirds in the first garden just inside the entrance, near the Purple Martin house. I soon saw both Rufous hummers in this area. The main garden near the building was infested with Ruby-throateds. I mean more than I've seen in this spot; easily a dozen, maybe two. I got two half-decent shots of one of the Rufous and a male Ruby-throat (link below).
