I need help in identification. Not at all familiar with waterfowl. Saw four ducks near some small ponds in the fields north of the homestead speedway (just east of 328 St and 137 Ave, on south side of 328 St). They were average size, I guess. Mostly brown, with orange legs, dark bills, and reddish in the neck and shoulder. One flew, showing the upper parts of the wings near the body to be completely white. Does anybody know what they are? Has anyone been in this area lately? I also say some sandpipers, along with lots of killdeer. Again, not all that good with sandpipers, but best guess is some least, and one or two solitary. Please excuse my lack of experience with these, shorebirds are tough! Thanks.
