: I did a morning walk through Tree Tops Park today and did not find this warbler. I walked the equestrian trail across from the picnic area, the nature trails, and out to the Pine Island Ridge. No luck. It is very possible that I just missed the bird however, because I am not familiar with this park. I also could not find the brush piles.
: Here is a partial list of what I did see.
: Osprey
: Swainson’s Hawk- sitting on a "no swimming" sign just before the bridge
: Broad-winged Hawk-sitting in an oak at the bridge before you walk out of the park to the pine island ridge
: American Kestrel
: Brown Thrasher
: Blue-headed Vireo
: Black-and-white warbler
: Prairie Warbler
: Palm Warbler
: Magnolia Warbler
: Northern Parula
: Black-Throated Green Warbler
: Yellow-rumped Warbler
Thanks for the reply. Even though you did not see the Macgillivray's I am excited to note the Swainson's Hawk. This is not a bird we see in Toronto, well worth a visit to the park!
