A good day at Green Cay despite high winds and very poor light. A northern Harrier displayed for a while and the merlins were out but seemed to have problems with the gusty and strong winds and took refuge in cypress trees.
Them ain action was in the parking lot when scores of warblers alighted at about 9:10. There were many more than I could handle with the 600mm (rigged for hawks, was I) but those with 300 and VRs had a field day.
This one pictured here is giving me identification problems. I want to say Blackburnian but the back and wing color seems inappropriate.
Any suggestions?
