First of the season (for me) Northern Gannets were offshore yesterday (10/20) and all were young birds. Frigatebird numbers are picking up as they gather near bait balls offshore. Today I picked up a strong flyer ~1.5 miles offshore and followed it as it came in. It was a Peregrine Falcon that didn't waste any time covering the distance. It's great to watch migration in progress.
