Falcons and Broad-wingeds on the move - Curry Hammock Hawkwatch

A good day at the Curry Hammock Hawkwatch, Little Crawl Key, with diverse flights of raptors throughout the day.

Highlights included:
132 Peregrine Falcons
170 American Kestrels
14 Merlins
212 Broad-winged Hawks
99 Sharp-shinned Hawks
30 Northern Harriers
6 Mississippi Kites
3 Swainson's Hawks
and more
totalling 692 birds.

Winds were gusty from the WNW, up to 20km/h.

Palm Warblers were everywhere, along with other Parulidae, and several Indigo Buntings.
Large Anhinga flocks, and groups of flying teal were also on the move.
