About 6:30 pm there was a nice assortment of birds in the yard. I have a small fountain and a black-throated blue male and female were bathing there. They then went to a puddle nearby and were joined by another male. Right away, sliding down the cable wire to join them was a stunning male hooded warbler! There also were a few common yellowthroats and an ovenbird in the yard also. They were really tame- the hooded at one point was less than 3 feet away, checking me out. Its getting dark, but they are all still there.
