A Yellow-billed Cuckoo has been hanging around at Daggerwing all week. It was first recorded on Oct 10 (thank you to the visitor that wrote it in the sighting log!), and then again today, OCt 15. Today, it was located about mid-way through the north trail on the north side of the boardwalk.
Also seen today was a female Indigo Bunting. She was hanging out in the wax myrtles right before crossing over the berm going back into the swamp area. There is a good amount of water in the swamp.
There's lots of bird activity, just getting a good look at them is the hard part! As far as warblers go, recorded this week were: palm, pine, prairie, yellow-throated, common yellow-throat, and redstarts. I'm sure there are others in there, I just haven't been able to get a good enough look to get an ID! The Kestrals and Kingfishers are also back. Lots of good stuff!
