Between 4:15 and dusk you can witness upwards of 100 parakeets fly in, feed at the feeder, perch in the mahogany tree, and eventually roost in the royal palms behind 14025 S. Biscayne River Drive. These are mostly White-eyed and Red-masked parakeets. There are also Green parakeets, Mitred, Blue-crowned, and Black-hooded. Park across the street from the house, there is a large swale. There are also numerous Chestnut-fronted Macaws and 50+ Amazons in the area although I don't know where they roost. Hill Mynas are also around, usually across the canal on Memorial Highway. Great way to start a new year!
