Despite high winds, Arch Creek Park produced an interesting assortment of birds in the hammock today (10/6). The individual numbers were low and it took several trips around on the hammock trail to observe: Bay-breasted Warblers (2), Magnolia Warbler (1), Ovenbird (1), Prairie Warbler (1), Am. Redstart (2), Parula Warbler (1), Black & White Warbler (1), Cn. Yellowthroat Warbler (2), Cape May Warbler (1), Blue-gray Gnatcatchers (7), Painted Buntings (3- 1 male, 2 females), N. Cardinal (7), Ruby-throated Hummingbirds (3), Broad-winged Hawk (1), Red-shouldered Hawk (1). Still waiting on the thrushes. Arch Creek Park is open Wednesdays - Sundays, 9am-5pm.
