My 15 minute stop at Matheson on the way to work this morning turned into a 3-hour stop due to the ignition switch on my car kicking the bucket. As I type this, I m waiting for a locksmith to come switch the switch, he he. I was hoping to relocate the Philadelphia Vireo seen yesterday to get a photo. What I found were:
Black-and-white Warbler 2
Yellow-throated Warbler
Northern Parula
Prairie Warbler
Gnatcatcher 4
Quite an impressive list for only 3 hours of birding, wouldn t you agree. I think next time I go looking for migrants I will leave my binocs at home and take my eyes out with an ice pick. Why not, I couldn t possibly see any less birds than I m seeing now. I think this migration is way past the S word by now.
