Linda McCandless and I tried for the Cuban Pewee yesterday at Long Pine Key. We heard it call 4 times along Gate 3 trail but didn't see it. It called at 10:05 (20 seconds), 10:15, 10:24 and 10:41. The general area was on the back edge of the hammock, ~40 yards east of the fallen tree and ~25-30 yards north of the trail. We left at 11:30 but returned at 1:45 PM. At 2:10 the Yellow-bellied Flycatcher briefly appeared in a Florida Trema close to the trail, ~20 yards west of the fallen tree.
