The Cuban Pewee was present today, it was opposite the hammock down gate 4 in the pinewoods. It always heads towards the hammock at gate 3 by 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. Also present near the downed tree, was a report of a Philadelphia Vireo. I did not hear any reports for the Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, it has been a tough bird to get a good look at. I find if it is raining in the morning or at other times of the day, the pewee does not vocalize much. This makes it much more difficult to locate, a sunny day is best.
