Hey everyone,

So I was finally able to make it down here to see the Pewee. I arrived around noon, and met up with Larry Manfredi and 2 other birders. We heard it call from a distance for a bit, then it was quiet for a long time. As soon as Carlos Sanchez came strolling down the path around 2pm, it came and flew right up to a branch right over our heads. We got great looks of it while it sang and called.

While waiting, we saw White-eyed Vireos, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Northern Parula, and Prairie Warbler.

At A.D Barnes this afternoon around 6, my dad and I had:
2 Ovenbird
Black-and-white Warbler
Northern Parula
Worm-eating Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Red-eyed Vireo

For those interested in butterflies, over the past two days, I've had nice butterflies in my parents' yard and at Long Pine Key:

Long-tailed Skipper
Hammock Skipper (good yard species)
Giant Swallowtail
Julia Heliconian
Zebra Heliconian
Ceraunus Blue
Cloudless Sulphur
Gulf Fritillary
Florida Leafwing (at gate 3 by the Pewee)

Dragonflies:
Citrine Forktail (Larry, this is the tiny yellow damselfly we saw)
Band-winged Dragonlet
Metallic Pennant (in the yard)
