Good point Vince. Even though this bird appeared out of the clouds way out to sea. We can't say it is a migrant for sure. We did however forget about the three Cooper's we saw soaring high above Cape FL last Sunday. These Cooper's were traveling together with a group of 2 Red-tails, 1 Broadwing and a solo Mississippi Kite. There were more raptors traveling up higher but to high for me to ID with confidence. This is the third M. Kite we have seen at the Cape since last fall, must be a good spot for them. We would call those raptors migrants for sure, as for our FIU bird we do agree we will never know if it was a true migrant for sure.

No birding today, been in the wet lab all day setting up our new aquariums.
