Here is a map of the area and the locations where I either saw or heard the Cuban Pewee. It took me a while to get a good look. The pewee doesn't act like the Eastern Pewee... you know, perch and hunt over and over again from the same location. No, this bird will perch for a moment or two but then it moves on to the next snag usually obscured from view.

When I first arrived I heard the bird near the Private Residence, but I never saw it and wasn't sure what I was hearing. It wasn't until later when we saw and heard the bird that I realize what I had been hearing earlier.

My guess is the bird will be very vocal in the morning. Vocalization this afternoon and evening were frequent but not continuous.

My photos of the bird stink, but I believe they support the ID of Cuban Pewee... thus I don't have to experience the heat, humidity and mosquitoes in the morning with all of you... Bwah,ha,ha,ha,ha... ( my evil laugh)

Larry you are the "Man"
