The BLACK SCOTERS were re-observed 1/4 mile south of Bodwitch Point on the Gulf Side of Estero Island at 04:10 pm EST. Six (6) Females were rafted together about 150 feet offshore, preening, occasionally feeding, and sleeping in the gentle swell. All are well marked, and are easily spotted even in 8X binocs. At 36X, the whole raft filled the view, but a scope is not necessary to ID them at this range.

The Long-Billed Curlew is still at Bunche Beach, on the flats to the right of the parking area. (03:15 pm)

NOTE: The Inlet that the Red-Throated Loon was observed in is named Little Carlos Pass, and the Boat Ramps mentioned are directly across from the entrance to Lover's Key SRA
