Prior to a sudden noon thunderstorm there was much bird activity in the park, particularly within the canopy near marker 19, including:
Blackburnian Warbler (1 adult female)
Prairie Warbler (many)
Northern Parula Warbler (many)
Ovenbird (many)
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart
Northern Waterthrush
Red-eyed Vireo (many)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (many)
Yellow-billed Cuckoo
Chuck-will's Widow (3)
and many others.

Early morning, at Porter-Russell Pinelands (Goulds), 2 Bobolinks flew over.
