I spotted the three Lark Sparrows today at Larry and Penny Thompson Mem. Park at approx. 4:45 pm. The birds allowed me to get real close looks at them...so beautiful. They were located in the oaks between the shelters and the playground, roughly the same area they've been seen in before. Also, in the pond, the usual suspects of previous postings:
Ring-necked Duck (32)
Ruddy Duck (5)
Lesser Scaup (1)
American Coot (30)
Pied-billed Grebe (4)
There were actually more ducks than coots in this pond! I'm fresh off a trip to Merritt Island over the weekend, where I saw more coots than I've ever seen...for that matter, more ducks than I've ever seen too! What a awesome and fascinating place.

Cheers,
on the road to 300 Florida birds for the year,
Rock Jetty
