Hi Larry G.
We are out that way often and have observed many Great-horned Owls in the area. A friend of our lives right near the county line and has a pair of GH Owls and Red-tailed Hawks that nested and sucesfully reared chicks on the property rhis year. The area is also wicked good for Nighjars.
It is a great area to listen for migrants as well, the light and noise pollution is minimal late at night.
Nature is Awesome
