I went out for a quick walk on the boardwalk to check water levels (there is water in the swamp now!) and saw several neat things in a short amount of time. I picked up a Least Bittern and a Kingfisher at the front ponds, and woodpeckers galore in the swamp. There were many fledgling Red-bellies, and I saw the most beautiful N. Flicker I've ever seen! We've also been getting the BG Gnatcatchers, Red-eyed Vireos, Great Crested Flycatchers, Shrikes, and BC Night Herons (imm and adult). Oh, and several Ruddy Daggerwing butterflies!
