I think that I have found some material online concerning the area that Steve Siegel alluded to earlier. It's Stormwater Treatment Area 5 at the very south end of Blumberg Road in Hendry County. The URL is linked below and includes an infrared aerial photo of the site, as well as the days when waterfowl hunting occurs (apparently only 11 days a year?). There's also a statement in the hunting brochure that "access to the area is permitted on hunt days only" -- does this apply solely to hunters, or to anybody?
